What we’ve been up to
What a hot summer we had! In all the heat we did our best with fans and any other means to keep the training rooms as comfortable as possible. The Protective Behaviours courses last term were fully booked with participants providing really good feedback. There are courses this term with places available as follows:
These are Open Access courses with places open to anyone – please click on links in the ‘What’s coming up‘ box on the right for booking forms and course information.

A few quotes by professionals
‘Brilliant course – a lot to take in but now have an understanding of what PBs are and how they are relevant to everyone’ (Level 1 participant)
‘I will use this learning to support staff in clarifying feelings/thoughts in tough classroom dynamics. It’s been relevant in deepening my understanding of how to use PBs in different contexts in a school setting through the medium of safety and respect’ (Level 2 participant)
‘Clarity of how PBs can be delivered effectively to parents & carers. Well supported by thorough programme manual. Will enable me to take PBs further – to empower carers and parents to change behaviours and lives’ (FFSP Facilitator training participant)
New courses are on the website where you can also download a booking form. http://familiesfeelingsafe.co.uk/events/category/professionals/

Working with Parents
We are delighted to be awarded HCC Targeted Parenting Fund to deliver our evidence-based Families Feeling Safe programme (FFSP). There are 4 groups running this term for Mums, Dads & Carers:
All Posters, Parent leaflets and Registration forms can be found at:
Last term we ran 6 FFSP programmes funded by HCC Targeted Parenting Fund. We love to hear what parents tell us when they have attended the programme:
“I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it all useful and practical. I’ve told others how positive the course has been and how much more confident I feel in myself and my ability to parent. It’s given me practical strategies to try out with my children and I’ve had such a positive outcome from discussing feelings with them” A Dad
“Before I attended It was like walking on egg shells with my daughter’s anger and frustration. Now, it’s harmony and effective communication” A Mum
“I really got a lot out of this course. I thought the facilitators were fantastic, really non-judgemental and supportive. Thank you so much – I’ve learned lots”
We also run workshops for parents, including whole class/small group children’s workshops please email email@example.com
