Gwen trained as a drama teacher and teacher of Special Educational Needs.
Throughout her career she has worked with vulnerable children, children with special needs, from babies to aged 11 years, and with their parents in a range of different settings and roles.
In 2004 while working as Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) in a primary school she receiving training in Protective Behaviours and has continued to use this both personally and professionally.
In 2007 she began Protective Behaviour work with Action for Children and subsequently Families Feeling Safe Protective Behaviours Services, undertaking one-to-one sessions, class workshops and groups in primary schools as well as during school holidays. She has co-facilitated The Families Feeling Safe programmes for mums, dads and carers.
Gwen is currently developing PB workshops for parents and children together.
