Our Families Feeling Safe programme is a practical and down to earth programme for mums, dads and carers of children and teenagers 0-19 years old.
It can enable mums, dads and carers to help their children to build self-esteem and confidence, improve their well-being and have strategies and ideas to keep themselves feeling safe. By recognising and trusting their feelings and expressing them in responsible ways, families can develop problem-solving skills relevant for a range of situations. These skills can enhance relationships, communication and in developing safe networks of support.
The programme runs for 10 sessions. It is usually run for parents and carers of children up to 5, infants & junior school ages and for teenagers. Each parent or carer will receive their own book which has been developed in partnership with parents who attended previous groups. The book includes key ideas and activities to use at home with their children or teenagers.
